When the
stars of the silver screen enter the world famous Pinewood Studios in
Buckinghamshire, they will pass through a new grand entrance, which
Inviron, the leading building services and facilities manager, helped
create. Working in partnership with LIFE Build Solutions
Limited, Inviron's Eastern Division team installed all mechanical and
electrical systems, including mains and sub mains cabling, LV
distribution, internal lighting, heating and ventilation, to The Queen
Elizabeth II Gatehouse. Colin Clements, General Manager, Inviron Eastern, commented: "We are
delighted to have been a part of another project at Pinewood Studios
and especially to have helped to bring it in on time and to budget was
very rewarding for the team." Ken Adams, from LIFE Build Solutions Ltd, added: "Inviron was positive
and proactive throughout the project and we at LIFE Build found a great
deal of synergy between the companies. We look forward to working with
Inviron again." It took just 14 weeks to create the imposing entrance, which was
officially opened by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh during a
recent visit. Previous work at Pinewood Studios saw Inviron successfully complete the
replacement of electrical systems at the famous 007 Stage, during its
re-building following a fire earlier this year. The sound stage is one
of the world's largest and the location of scenes filmed for the most
recent James Bond film, Casino Royale.
