Facilities management and building services provider, Inviron, has been awarded a contract with new client, Serco Docklands, to maintain a number of Docklands Light Railway facilities in London.
The contract covers HVAC maintenance for DLR Operational and Maintenance Centres at Poplar and Beckton, as well as 13 DLR stations, including Canary Wharf, Bank and Custom House.
The DLR network consists of 39 stations, has 32 km of track and accounts for 67 million passenger journeys a year. It will also be a key transport link for the 2012 Olympic venue, which is being created in Stratford, East London.
Neil Johnson, General Manager of Inviron's London Business Centre, commented: "This new maintenance contract, adds to our growing portfolio within the capital. We are delighted to be working alongside Serco keeping the DLR, which many of our own employees use daily, running efficiently."
