New partnership with CAA

---->Aviation House, Gatwick
Aviation House, Gatwick

Inviron, the leading building services and facilities management provider, has been appointed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), to maintain the building systems at its two main UK sites - CAA House, Central London and Aviation House, Gatwick.

Inviron will undertake planned preventative and reactive maintenance of the mechanical and electrical systems, including lifts, water treatment, fire alarms, building management systems and heating, ventilation and air conditioning units at the two buildings, which house approximately 1,400 staff.

Both CAA House and Aviation House will have dedicated site-based engineers, who will implement the comprehensive planned schedule of work and ensure that all maintenance is completed with minimal disruption to CAA staff.

In addition to these sites, Inviron will also manage and co-ordinate maintenance work carried out by sub-contractors, as well as undertaking ad-hoc M&E work at the CAA's regional offices spread throughout the UK.

Paul Horsley from Inviron's London Business Centre, said: "We are looking forward to partnering with the CAA and developing a strong working relationship with the organisation. Providing an efficient and well-planned maintenance programme will ensure that the building systems run economically and provide the CAA's employees with a comfortable working environment."

Steve Dutton, Building Service Manager from the CAA, commented: "The CAA tender board were very impressed with the presentation and professionalism of the Inviron team at tender stage, all that was promised is either already in place or is progressing on schedule reinforcing the confidence felt when awarding the contract."

The CAA is the specialist aviation regulator for the UK and is responsible for air safety, economic regulation, airspace regulation, consumer protection, environmental research and consultancy. It also provides the Government with advice on aviation issues, represents consumer interests, and conducts research, both economic and scientific.
