Inviron,
the leading building services and facilities management provider, has
secured £4m of new business throughout the North East of England,
including projects in the education, healthcare and commercial sectors.
This
excellent performance by Inviron's Building Systems, North East,
division, has underlined its position as a leading contractor in the
region.
Alan
Crozier, General Manager of Building Systems, North East, based in
Washington, commented: "Having secured and now completed a number of
projects during the universities and college summer shut down period,
we are now entering an exciting period of activity.
"This
includes our project teams moving on to site at the two 11-storey
office blocks at Baltic Quay, Gateshead, as well as providing the
mechanical and electrical services, design and installation at a
redevelopment of offices at East Quay 5 in Newcastle, and a similar
role at Bowesfield Park Plot K in Stockton on Tees.
"The
success in securing these prestigious and valuable contracts is down to
our ability to recognise the needs of clients, the professionalism of
our workforce, delivering projects on time and to budget and also
developing long-term partnerships with clients and contractors alike."
Inviron's new contracts include:
- University
of Sunderland. Inviron is installing mechanical and electrical services
to the ground floor and replacing the boiler as part of the Gateway
Building's refurbishment programme. Also on this Campus, Inviron is
installing the mechanical services, which is part of the Murray Library
refurbishment.
- Newcastle
College. Inviron is providing the mechanical and electrical services
for the refurbishment of the Mandela Building Photo Laboratories.
- University
of Newcastle. Inviron will provide the electrical services installation
to the refurbishment of a number of lecture theatres.
- University
of Northumbria. Here, Inviron has a continuing presence on-site and new
projects include upgrading the heating in blocks on the Coach Lane
Campus and the Ellison Block.
- North
Tyneside General Hospital. This work involves the complete mechanical
and electrical services installation within the refurbishment of two
wards at the hospital, the work is scheduled for completion in January
2008.
- Finally,
other works secured within the Commercial Sector includes Gladman
Developments placing further orders for mechanical and electrical
services at Northumberland Business Park, Berwick Business Park, as
well as at offices associated with planned distribution centres at Drum
Industrial Estate, Chester-le-Street, County Durham.
Working
with Mansell, Inviron has also secured the M&E services fit-out to
Unit 6 on Spectrum Business Park, Dawdon, near Seaham.
