London developments

Inviron, the leading building services and facilities management provider, has begun work at two prestigious buildings, which form part of property giant Land Securities' major new development in London's New Street Square.

Land Securities has transformed New Street Square EC4, in the capital's historic Midtown district, where the City meets the West End, with the creation of a number of innovatively-designed buildings, which total 730,000sq ft of office space, retail outlets and cafes, as well as a new landscaped central square.

Inviron has full operational responsibility for the maintenance of mechanical and electrical (M&E) services at Buildings 4 and 6, thereby expanding its London Service Porfolio and strengthening ties with Land Securities.

Building 6 is an elegant 17-storey development consisting of 195,000sq ft of office space. Meanwhile Building 4 is the on-site Management Suite.

Richard Weavers, Head of Engineering, Land Securities, commented: "Since April Inviron has clearly lived up to the partnership approach demonstrated during tender and am delighted we have extended our partnership in this way."

Neil Johnson, Inviron's General Manager, London Business Centre, said: "We are delighted to have taken responsibility for these buildings in this prestigious new Land Securities development. We see this as testament to the excellent service we continue to provide as Land Securities' London Service Partner."

This contract is the latest in the partnership between Inviron and Land Securities, which is the UK's leading property company and owns and manages over 81 million sq ft of commercial property and provides property services to more than 2,500 private and public sector clients.

Inviron was appointed Land Securities' London Service Partner in early 2007. This partnership comprises of the management of M&E services across Land Securities' London Portfolio, which includes numerous commercial, retail and office premises at developments such as the prestigious Cardinal Place.
