Inviron begins university project

Solihull-based Inviron, the leading building services and facilities management provider, has begun work on a major project at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford. In conjunction with main contractor Kier Eastern, Inviron's Building Systems, Eastern team will carry out the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems at a new faculty building at the university's Rivermead Campus. The equipment and systems to be installed by Inviron are:

Mechanical

  • Above Ground Drainage
  • Electrical Heating System
  • DX Comfort Cooling
  • Displacement Ventilation System
  • Extract Ventilation System
  • Domestic Hot & Cold Water Systems
  • Mechanical Controls

Electrical

  • Mains & Sub Mains Cabling
  • Hub Wiring
  • Small Power Outlets
  • General Lighting
  • Theatre Lighting
  • Emergency Lighting
  • Fire Alarm System
  • Data & Voice Wiring
  • Audio Loop System
  • Intruder Alarm System
  • CCTV System
  • Access Control System
  • Disabled Call System
  • Lift Supplies Installation

Richard Plummer, General Manager from Inviron, said: "We are pleased to be working with Kier on this major project, at one of our most prestigious local universities."

The contract is due to be completed in May 2008. Anglia Ruskin University is the UK's 13th largest university.It also has another campus in Cambridge.
