Inviron, the leading building services and facilities management provider, will continue to provide maintenance at 16 police stations in the Greater Manchester area.

Inviron has been awarded a further year's contract with Equion to be its mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance partner for the police stations in Greater Manchester.

This contract extension includes maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting and emergency lighting, CCTV, fire alarm, intruder alarms, door access, barriers, sewage and drainage and small power works. Inviron will also carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance at the stations.

Two full-time engineers will be responsible for the sites with additional support from their local mobile team if required.

Last year, Inviron's Building Systems, North West, business, completed a £14.5m contract with Greater Manchester Police Authority for the complete M&E installation, including lighting, heating, CCTV and fire alarms, at these 16 stations.

Over the last three years, Inviron's National Building Service business took over the maintenance of each station as the M&E installation was completed.
