Inviron, the leading building services and facilities management provider, has been acquired by European technical services group, Imtech, which is based in the Netherlands and operates across Europe.
With a turnover in excess of 4.5 billion euros, the group has more than 25,000 employees serving over 21,000 clients. Its UK operation has a turnover of around £400 million and a blue chip client base that covers the country, supported by a workforce of more than 2,000 employees facilitating both client and main contractor performance.
Imtech Technical Services in the UK has been involved in such prestigious projects as Westfield London, Olympic Stadium, Velodrome, Arsenal Stadium, Westfield Stratford, BBC, Advanced Sludge and Energy plants for Welsh and Anglian Water and unique projects such as the Bodleian Library for Oxford University.
Garry Metcalfe, managing director at Inviron, says: "The acquisition of our business by Imtech is a key milestone in the future development of our company and facilitates the further development of our service offering to existing customers, as well as opening new opportunities to work for clients of Imtech.
"Imtech's culture and strategy is very closely aligned to our own, as is its passion for customer service, which offers a natural fit with our own aims and philosophy.
"The most important point to make is that our employees and our customers will not be affected by this acquisition, we will continue to operate under the same company name with the same culture and direction.
"The key advantage for us all, as part of a larger technical services group, is that our ambitious growth strategy will now be supported by a parent company with wider European reach and financial strength, enabling us to provide a fuller technical services offering to our clients."
Jim Steele, CEO of Imtech UK, describes the acquisition as "a key step in our strategy to offer our clients full Technical Services from concept to lifetime care."
