Leading building services and facilities management provider, Inviron, has been appointed to work alongside main contractor, Morgan Ashurst, to create a state-of-the-art dance centre in Ipswich.
Inviron will install the mechanical and electrical equipment at Jerwood DanceHouse, located on the Ipswich Waterfront, which is part of the largest single regeneration project in the East of England.
The mechanical and electrical installation includes heating, cooling and ventilation systems, a building management system, thermal insulation and gas supplies, along with lighting, alarm systems, a CCTV and PA system and mains cabling.
Colin Clements, General Manager of Inviron's Building Systems Eastern, said: "We are very proud to be involved with this project. The development of DanceHouse will be a major addition to the regeneration of Ipswich's Waterfront, as well as providing a first class centre for talented young dancers."
The DanceHouse will be the base for the DanceEast Academy, a Government-funded body that provides dance training for the region's very best young dancers. It will feature three dance studios, including a 200-seat studio theatre, a fitness suite, bar and a café.
