Leading facilities management and building services provider, Inviron, has been awarded the contract to maintain and manage the mechanical and electrical systems at St David's 2, the £625m extension to St David's Shopping Centre in Cardiff.
Inviron was awarded the contract by commercial property giant, Land Securities and will be responsible for the planned preventative maintenance of the shopping centre's building services.A dedicated on-site team will maintain the water treatment works, fire alarms, building management systems and heating, ventilation and air conditioning units at the new shopping centre, which opened its doors to the public on 22 October 2009.
Paul Horsley, Inviron Operations Manager, said: "We've been providing building services to St David's Shopping Centre since earlier this year and we're really pleased that Land Securities has awarded us this additional contract for St David's 2.
"We have extensive experience in the retail sector, maintaining 13 Land Securities' shopping centres across the UK, including Princesshay in Exeter and Portsmouth's prestigious, Gunwharf Quays.
