College maintenance contract won

Inviron, the leading building services and facilities management provider, recently embarked upon a long-term contract to maintain all mechanical and electrical building services at Cambridge Regional College.

The company will undertake the planned and reactive maintenance of all mechanical and electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning services and plant equipment at the colleges' three sites around Cambridge - the Science Park Campus, City Centre Campus and Cherry Hinton Hall.

Inviron's two engineers, who will be based at the Science Park Campus, will also be responsible for managing a number of specialist services, including:

  • Fire and intruder alarm systems
  • Environmental services - water treatment, chlorination and sampling
  • Fixed wire testing

The college will also benefit from Inviron's 24-hour, 7-day-a-week help desk facility, which will ensure all maintenance records are up-to-date and provide a call out service for emergency breakdown cover.

Ken Rogers, Inviron's National Building Service General Manager, commented: "We are looking forward to taking on this contract for Cambridge Regional College and ensuring students and staff have a comfortable, safe environment in which to work and live."
