Inviron, the leading building services and facilities management provider, has commenced work alongside one of the UK's leading construction companies, Carillion, to install mechanical and electrical services within the £17m Cleadon Park Primary Care Centre development in South Tyneside.

The installation includes a cost effective, energy efficient biomass boiler, as well as underfloor heating, ventilation and comfort cooling systems, electrical sub-distribution, intelligent lighting and CCTV, fire and intruder alarm systems.

Once open, the centre will integrate the existing services including, GP practices, primary care teams, social care accommodation and a library under one roof to serve the community

The project is being delivered by inspiredspaces, a company set up by Carillion and its joint venture partners, who seek to provide buildings that contribute positively to the surrounding environment.

Alan Crozier, general manager of Inviron's Building Systems North East business, said: "We have a strong working relationship with Carillion in the North East, which has been developed on various projects, such as the recently completed Baltic Place in Gateshead.

"I'm confident that our highly experienced team will meet all the criteria on this project to deliver a comfortable, controlled environment for everyone who will use the Cleadon Park Primary Care Centre."
