In 2008, Manchester Airport's Terminal One underwent a radical multi-million pound redevelopment, which involved remodelling the passenger thoroughfare and integrating new retail opportunities.
Inviron's team installed mechanical and electrical services to the new airside food and beverage and retail area, which was relocated and expanded, along with the Outbound Controls security area, which was also relocated to directly behind the main check-in hall.
As the terminal had to remain open throughout the redevelopment and passenger throughput could not be adversely affected, the order of works was critical to maintaining operations as was observing the airport's strict security procedures.
