Project Description:

Inviron were awarded the contract to provide Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) and associated electrical installations for the Eastern Apron Development at Heathrow Airport.

This is the first part of a complete restructuring of the taxiways and stands on the eastern side of the airport, which will include a new Heathrow East Terminal, and multiple new parking stands for aircraft.

The contract for the provision of AGL's on taxiways, associated cabling, substation installations and parking aids on new stands was awarded by BAA Framework contractor Morgan=est. The majority of the installation was carried out during daylight, although some works took place at night. Planning, in consultation with Airport Operations has led to virtually no disruption to daily aircraft movements.
