Project Description:
This project for the provision of all construction, mechanical and electrical services, with Inviron as principal contractor, included the complete removal of the existing office areas and conversion to a fully air conditioned and supported technical suite.
Following detailed negotiations with the client the project developed from a server hosting facility to a fully equipped technical suite having a capacity of approximately 300 data racks.
Owing to the logistics of the suite, dedicated plant compounds were required together with a full HV upgrade and generator/UPS support. Also required were two further power supply upgrades, which involved the supply and installation of standby diesel generating sets rated at 625kVA and 500kVA.
The project started in February 2007 was completed on time and within budget in June 2007.
