Technical Solution: Statutory Compliance Electrical Testing and Inspection

Project Description:

Inviron successfully carried out the 5 year Electrical Testing and Inspection over 15 locations across the BBC London Estate and the associated remedial repairs.

The engineers utilised the BBC's chosen Electrical Distribution Information System (EDIS) which provides a simple, convenient web based information management system to create, edit and store all information relating to electrical installations. The data is based on BS 7671 which is the national standard required for safety of electrical installations

Inviron engineers who carried out this work had to be flexible in numbers as well as times of working, so as not to disrupt any BBC TV or Radio programmes. This involved a great deal of planning and required us to recognise any possible risks and have agreed shutdown deadlines.

Through good planning and close liaison with the BBC, Inviron was able to meet the Statutory Compliance Team's programme objectives and deadlines.
