Location: Gateshead, Tyne and Wear

Baltic Place is a joint venture between Robertson Property and City & Northern (South Shore Developments Ltd) and consists of 131,000 sq ft of office space comprising two eleven-storey tower blocks linked by a shared entrance foyer and underground car park.  The development sits alongside three of the most iconic structures in Gateshead including the Sage Music Centre, Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the Baltic Arts Centre.

Inviron undertook the mechanical and electrical services installation which included air conditioning, ventilation and heating, above ground drainage, security and IT intelligent lighting systems, data containment and the building management system.

A key requirement for the buildings was to have a high standard of energy efficiency to reach BREEAM standard ‘Excellent', which was achieved.
